From the beginning he was drawn to the early progressive, tribal house sound pioneered by such groundbreaking DJ’s as Deep Dish, Oscar G, Murk, and of course Danny Tenaglia.Hodd has championed that sound up and down the East coast making appearances in Charlotte, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and of course Washington, DC.Hodd’s sets move from the opener’s, dark percussive house to peak-time driving 4-4, to early morning progressive darkness. Current favorite labels and producers in heavy rotation include Lexicon Avenue, Satoshi Tomiie, Cass and Slide, Danny Tenaglia, Forensic, Saeed and Palash, and Deep Dish. |
